I really just can't believe how good this software is. There isn't a place to post thankyous so here it is...
After chewing many trainer tyres on the Fortius in the shop where I have it installed, they bought a TACX Neo. This required Tacx Trainer 4 (more money). I installed it and then the memories came flooding back of my beta testing days. Each software update was required to be sequentially installed, madness and to boot it's was so SLOWWWWW and memory hungry it needed a new PC, that would have been another £350 ($550 USD) of wasted money.
Reluctantly (I really wanted to keep 3 years worth of ride history with TTS) I tried VRide. WOW!![Tacx tts4 software Tacx tts4 software](/uploads/1/2/5/0/125022142/169016653.jpg)

I was beta tester for Taxc Trainer 3 - it was unbelievable to the point that it just didn't make any sense how bad it was. I settled on a version that worked, just about, with my trusty TACX Fortius trainer. After chewing many trainer tyres on the Fortius in the shop where I have it installed, they bought a TACX Neo. very limited app for very expensive trainers
Firstly the pedal analysis (neo 2) doesn't work on a Mac.
You can't connect sensors to the trainers via ANT and then bluetooth to the desktop app meaning several of my training sensors can't be used. You've been able to do that with WATT bikes for 5 years!
No way to import workouts from garmin or trainingpeaks.
No cyclinging dynamics when used with garmin. Or recorded with activity.
I've been using old school watt bikes for the last 3 years which i know see are still ahead of their time with conectivity and pedal analysis.

It works but...
The films are excellent. The ability to download a route from Strava to repeat, is just brilliant. Streaming is a bit hit and miss with no image at all, when downloaded its fine.
With the recent updates Ant is supported however I had to revert back to BT because the turbo wouldn't change the resistance, felt like no power.
Seems like its got a bug because it crashed 3 times whilst doing the Yellow Jersey Challenge, very annoying.

Developer Response,
We are happy to hear you enjoy this.
The ANT+ support is only for external devices like HR straps, cadence sensors and power meters
Black screen with streaming has to do with a double graphics card, you then indeed need to download the film to be able to see this
We will look into the crashes that you have seen.
Maybe next time you can send us the report by starting the Desktop app and go to Contact Support in the left bottom corner of your screen
Thank you

Works for me
Don't be put off by all the bad reviews on here. It works fine for me even on a 2013 Macbook Air plugged into a TV. The only downside is Tacx have removed a lot of the films, but they say they will be back soon with many more new ones.
I tried Bkool recently but not impressed, nothing like the experience of TDA, and workouts take a shocking 2 hours to 'process' on their website, TDA are almost instant.
